Managing a domain
2 ways
- from the managera (clicking on the domain tab),
- starting a dns server on your dedicated .
If you wish to manage a domain on your own server, you need to configure a DNS server. In this case log into the manager, choose a domain, then
Domains & DNS,
DNS server add your server:
nsXXX.ovh.net as NS type. Now start a service on the server, you may use
Bind or other name server for that. The server should be configured in the way that our nsXXX.ovh.net is a primary and sdns1.ovh.net is secondary.
Example of configuration:
/etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 127.0.0.1 #localhost
nameserver 213.251.188.140 #sdns1.ovh.net
search
/etc/named.conf
